After the success of their Washington, DC office redesign, Manatt and OPX partnered together again to combine several office locations into a unique space for Manatt’s headquarters in Los Angeles.
As part of a strategy to promote rapid international growth, Hilton Worldwide transitioned their business model, and, in the process, created the Park Hotels & Resorts REIT. Park holds a multi-billion real estate portfolio and is now one of the largest publicly traded hotel REITs.
Working alongside owner Lowe Enterprises, OPX provided architecture and interior design services for the renovation of the 1,070-room Washington Hilton Hotel just up the road from our own offices in Dupont Circle.
OPX partnered with the owners of First Church of Christ Scientist, Sydell Group for this complex hospitality project that has been transformative to the Adams Morgan community since its opening in January 2018.
Through the IOE analysis and TL process, OPX was able to understand AARP’s guiding principles, mission, culture, and work processes, resulting in a successful and cost-effective implementation.
OPX designed a space with open workstations, emphasizing natural light and views, with the opportunity to collaborate and improve the overall flow of the office.
The design creates alignment between a unique location, spatial use and business practice requirements to provide clients, visitors and staff with the “Washington Experience.”

While I initially thought I wanted to work in hospitality design for hotels and restaurants, my experience with the law firm’s design and renovation challenges ended up sparking my interest in workplace design.
